
In a five goal thriller in the floodlight Bridge, Chelsea and Newcastle went toe to toe with the latter getting beaten 3 – 2.
Many remarks have been made after the match and one stand out player who has recieved critics from fans all over the world has been Raheem Sterling.
In most occassions Sterling looked tired and couldn’t track back to help the defence. The England International was neither active going foward. Sterling is one of the experienced players in the blue shirt and has been offering little of late. His experience was more of question in the second half when he was one on one with Dubravka. Palmer seemed to be in a better place to score but sterling selfishly decided to take the shot which intern was well blocked by Dan Burn.
It wasn’t the first scenario this season when the highest earner costed his team a goal.


Sterling against Aston Villa had a clean pass to make to Jackson but decided to go alone and wasted the chance in the end. Wolves which did beat Chelsea home and awaay this season is another scenario. Chelsea fans are now hopeful that Saudi romours are true and sterling will be sold.
His substitute Mudryk who has been impressive in the last 3 games came in and scored the third goal for Chelsea after a Dubravka Nutmeg. The blues remain 11th with a game in hand.
