Dani Alves found guilty of rape.

Former Barcelona player has been sentenced to 54 months imprisonment for raping a girl at a night club.

The 40 years old has been found guilty of guilty of assaulting a woman in a Barcelona nightclub in the eve of new year 2022.

The 23 year old girl in her affidavit told prosecutors that she danced with Alves and willingly entered the bathroom but upon walking out, Alves didn’t let her.

She said he slapped her, insulted her and forced her to have sexual relations.

Alves has been in custody since his arrest in January 23rd. Inconsistency merged his testimony after denying sexual consent but later agreeing of sex of will, he said he’s been trying to save his marriage.

The victim is set to recieve 150,00 Euros and have their legal cost paid.

Alves has however indicated on appealing the rulling.

Several Brazilian players have been accused of rape if not footballers with worrying trend being that some could be hoodwink. Last year Antony was arraigned in court for secual harrassment but walked out clean, Alves is however set to be behind bars if appeal doesn’t go through.
